Pinto Beans
Behold, the frijole pinto which translates to “painted bean”. The pinto got it’s named from it’s speckled exterior. When cooked, the spots disappear and turn into a light pinkish hue with a creamy texture.
Pinto beans are commonly used as the main ingredient in refried beans. They can also be mashed and used inside burritos. With their mild flavor, they make a great addition to soups, chilis or salads for an extra protein boost.

Gandules
Arroz con gandules are a Puerto Rican dish not Mexican. Mexican may do this dish but it is traditional in P.R. and they may mass produce it in Mexico.

Best Refried Beans
Our local supermarket was out of our go-to but there were cans of La Prereda so we gave it a go. Awesome and Organic too!

Hot and tasty!
This is great. It is hot which I love but has a great flavor too. I use it on nachos and burritos and tacos and anything that needs spicing up. Wish I could buy it a case at a time.
