Medium Grain White Rice

HOW TO PREPARE MEDIUM GRAIN RICE

YIELDS 3.5 CUPS OF COOKED RICE

1. In a medium sauce pan, bring to a boil 1 1/2 cups of water, 2 Tablespoons of butter or margarine and 1 teaspoon of salt.
2. Add 1 cup of rice, reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 15 minutes.
3. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, until water is absorbed.
4. Fluff with fork and season to taste.

To retain vitamins: Do not rinse before or drain after cooking.
