Sweet and Spicy Trail Mix

Wish you could take your tacos to snack on the go? Look no further, we've got the perfect recipe for you. This taco-inspired trail mix combines sweet and spicy flavors, making it the perfect snack.


  • 2 cups of Puffed Millet*
  • 1 cup raw almonds
  • 1 cup roasted cashews
  • 1 cup dried mango
  • ½ cup bittersweet chocolate or 100% dark chocolate chunks
  • ½ cup raw pepitas
  • ¼ cup dried cherries
  • ¼ cup of dried cranberries  
  • 2 Tablespoons La Preferida Organic Taco Seasoning

* Substitute with puffed quinoa, kamut or puffed grain cereal


Preheat oven to 350 F.  In a medium bowl, toss puffed millet in taco seasoning to evenly coat. Place in a baking pan and bake for 3 minutes.

Remove from oven and let it cool for 10 minutes. Mix with remaining ingredients and store in an airtight container.
