This refried black bean dip is rich, creamy, and built for Game Day. Made with La Preferida refried black beans, sazón seasoning, and diced green chiles, it delivers bold, savory flavor in just one skillet. Serve it warm with chips or spoon it onto tostadas for an easy crowd-pleasing appetizer that comes together in minutes.

Ingredients

Toppings (optional but encouraged)
– Fresh tomato, diced
– Serrano peppers, thinly sliced
– Red onion, finely diced
– Fresh cilantro, chopped
– Cotija cheese, crumbled

Method

Prep the Dip
* In a bowl, mix the refried black beans, green chiles, water, and sazón until smooth and spreadable.
* Spread the mixture evenly into a microwave-safe or oven-safe baking dish.
* Top with an even layer of shredded cheese.

Microwave Method (Fast & Easy)
* Microwave uncovered on high for 2–3 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
* Let sit for 30 seconds, then add toppings.
* Finish with a sprinkle of cotija cheese and serve immediately with chips.

Oven Method (For a Crowd)
* Preheat oven to 375°F.
* Bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes, until the cheese is fully melted and the edges are bubbling.
* Remove from oven, add toppings, and finish with cotija cheese.
* Serve warm with a big basket of chips.

Pro tip:
Sazón adds a ton of flavor fast, so start light and adjust as needed. If the dip thickens while sitting, stir in a splash of warm water to loosen it back up.
