Chick Peas – Dry Nutritional Info

Chick peas are an iconic Mexican ingredient that’s versatile to use with a satisfyingly nutty flavor. Blend them to create your own healthy hummus or add them in to soups and stews. Roast in the oven for a crunchy snack or add as a salad topping. There’s no wrong way to prepare a chick pea!

DIRECTIONS * Sort and rinse beans. Soak to reduce cook time (use 6 cups of water per 1lb of beans – oversoaking may cause beans to split.) Simmer until beans are tender. Quick soak: Boil beans and water for 2 minutes, remove from heat. Cover and let stand for 1 hour. Long soak: Let beans stand in water overnight (6-8 hours).
